Triple Cerberus Studios is the collective creative pursuits of Benjamin Craig, a special effects artist and puppet builder located in Toronto, Ontario.

Ben’s lifelong obsession with bringing motion to impossible creatures has always driven him to create. With a childhood passion for storytelling, he sketched and wrote and crafted endlessly through his early years, and as a teenager discovered the joys of costume and prop building. He soon moved to integrating puppetry, electronics, and even animatronics into his costume making, constantly chasing the thrill of bringing challenging characters to life using a vast array of sewing and fabrication skills. Before ever entering the special effects industry professionally, he earned multiple awards at judged costume events at fan conventions.

In the summer of 2010, Ben received a government grant from the Province of Ontario to run a custom costume making business in between semesters at Trent University, where he was earning his undergraduate in English and Cultural Studies. After he graduated, he went into marketing for technology companies but never stopped making costumes, puppets, and figurines for his own personal gratification.

In 2017, Benjamin left the business world and went to Sheridan College for a one year intensive program where he earned a degree in Special Effects Makeup, Props and Prosthetics. Since then he has had the pleasure of working in the art department on both film and television productions, covering both stop motion puppet building and live action hand puppet building. Triple Cerberus Studios serves as the catch-all creative umbrella for Ben’s figurine shop, puppet rentals, and online portfolio of professional puppet, prop, and costume work.
